Evolutionary Line


It is based on a custom of the ancient greeks; upon burial they used to place a gold coin on the deceased's mouth so that his/her spirit had the money, asked by Charon, the ferryman, to pay the toll in order to pass to the other side of the river to the underworld. Spirits that weren't given a coin were said to roam free in the mortal world haunting it.
